2023 Summer Collection: Sugar & Sweets
How's everyone doing? I hope the summer heat isn't treating you too badly. For me, it's pretty intense, and I find myself imagining standing in front of heat for hours a day. On the bright side, the yarns dry much faster, and for that, I'm grateful.
I apologize for not being active on Instagram lately. I wish there were more than 24 hours in a day! But please know that I see each of your posts on #ITOBITO, and it brings me so much joy to see you knitting with my yarn. I hope you're enjoying using them for your projects.
Today, I have an exciting announcement! I'm releasing a new update! The last time I updated a collection was probably last year. This time, the collection is inspired by desserts and sweets!
Color
From left: Wild Berries Ice Lolly、いちごかき氷 (Strawberry Shaved Ice)、Very Berry Mille-Feuille、金平糖 (Konpeito)、羊羹 (Yokan)、Rosfield、Minty Cool
Pics are shown in the gallery are in the following bases from left to right: Moko Mohair, Merino DK, Sock and Merino Singles Lace.
Very Berry Mille-Feuille
Inspired by assorted berries inserted in layers of yummy crust of a mille-feuille cake.
いちごかき氷 (Strawberry Shaved Ice)
Inspired by the ever popular Summer dessert! (Gonna go get some after the update!)
Wild Berries Ice Lolly
Inspired by home made ice lollies with different types of wild berries, granola and mint!
金平糖 (Konpeito)
Konpeito is a traditional Japanese sweet. Apparently, It was introduced by the Portuguese during the Sengoku era! I absolutely love them; they are so addictive!
綿飴 (Cotton Candy)
As for Cotton Candy, it's a well-loved treat, especially in carnivals and theme parks. It gives an image of happiness, love love!
For solid colors, Yokan, another traditional Japanese sweet made from Azuki beans, carries an interesting history worth exploring. It holds a special place for me as it was the first food I tried when I arrived in Japan :) Minty Cool has made appearances before but now finds its place in the signature solid collection, perfect for adding a refreshing touch during the summer. Lastly, Rosfield, inspired by りんご飴 (Apple Candy), is a red shade that I believe represents ITOBITO well and is my favorite accent color. The name Rosfield is taken from the game Final Fantasy XVI, which I'm currently super addicted to!

As this is a significant update, please allow about a week for your orders to be sent. There might be a shortage of sock-weight yarns for the new colors; I'm so sorry about that. Also, there's a notable change in Yamato International shipping prices, as it now costs almost the same as EMS. Please keep that in mind.
